Frequently Asked Questions
We are often asked...
What exactly is the Brand Meter Report™?
The Brand Meter Report™ is a structured assessment that compares how your internal team sees your brand and marketing with how the public actually perceives it. We collect responses from both your marketing stakeholders, brand positioning, and other marketing materials. Then, we pose the same questions and qualifiers to an external audience, delivering a side-by-side analysis highlighting alignment and misalignment across marketing, website, visual identity, tone, visuals, and messaging.
Who is this report designed for?
Brand Meter Report™ is built for:
→ Marketing leaders (CMOs, VPs, brand directors) who need a clear, data-backed way to show the impact of branding and their marketing gaps.
→ Executives and boards who want measurable evidence, not just creative opinions.
→ Agencies and consultants who need a repeatable tool to prove ROI and guide rebranding work.
How is the survey structured?
→ Internal survey – for your marketing team, executives, or agency strategists. It captures how you describe your brand’s purpose, personality, visuals, and tone.
→ External survey – given to a representative audience who reviews your website and brand materials, then shares their impressions in comparable terms.
The questions are designed to take 20 minutes or less and mix open-ended insights with multiple-choice, so the data is both rich and quantifiable.
What kind of insights will I get?
You’ll receive a report showing:
→ Where your brand aligns (e.g. both you and the audience see your brand as “approachable and modern”).
→ Where gaps exist (e.g. you describe your brand as “innovative,” but the audience sees it as “traditional”).
→ Actionable recommendations on how to close those gaps and build stronger alignment between strategy and perception.
How is this different from a standard brand audit?
Traditional brand audits are one-sided, focusing only on internal strategy or design execution. The Brand Meter Report™ is unique because it creates a mirror comparison between how you think your brand is performing and how it’s actually landing with people. This alignment check turns subjective branding conversations into boardroom-ready data.
What deliverables will I receive?
1. A visual report deck (slides or PDF) showing survey results, comparisons, and charts.
2. A summary scorecard with your major marketing misses and pain points clearly outlined.
3. Recommendations for next steps in messaging, design, or strategy.
How do I use mulitple surveys?
Once you purchase a survey, you initiate the research by filling out the baseline survey. Each baseline survey is then leveraged into a larger audience survey. ie. If you order two surveys, you might submit your brand materials, links, and content right away to get immediate results, then later submit your changed brand, altered content, and updated links to recieve your second survey results.
Can agencies use this with their clients?
Yes! Agencies can integrate the Brand Meter Report™ into their process:
• Use it before a rebrand to reveal the size of the gap.
• Run it after delivery to prove the impact of your work.
• Package it as part of discovery or brand workshops.
It’s designed to make agency work more measurable, persuasive, and to help you win larger proposals.
How does pricing work?
We offer three bundles:
• Single Report – one-time use, best for a snapshot before a big campaign or rebrand.
• Before/After Bundle – two reports (one pre-project, one post-project) to measure impact.
• Agency Pack – discounted multi-use access for agencies who want to include the Report in multiple engagements.
